Psychologist Katarina Kiiskinen

Welcome! On this page, you will find information on psychological services I offer.

I am a licenced psychologist in Finland, and I offer psychological counselling in Turku or via video link for clients in Finland. My theoretical framework and way of working is Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy and I have completed the three-year Core-training in ISTDP in Gothenburg with Liv Raissi (2017-2020). After that, I have continued my training by participating in trainings and regular supervision. I am also training to become a psychodynamic psychotherapist at Helsinki University 2022-2026.

Psychological counselling

Psychological counselling/therapy offers the opportunity to investigate your problems deeply and find the road to wellbeing.

It is common to start with a 2-3 hour trial therapy, which allows us to get a common understanding of your problems and to start the therapeutic work from the first meeting. This is usually followed by weekly appointments. These appointments can be 60-90 minutes long, depending on, e.g., how frequent the meetings are. The sessions can also be held via video meetings.

Please note, that I do not offer psychotherapy subsidized by the Finnish Social Insurance Institution (Kela).

If you, for example, live further away or find it difficult to meet regularly, we can agree to arrange our meetings into intensive blocks during a couple of days. This can be arranged into longer sessions both before and after lunch during two days; or simply longer sessions over a series of days.

A longer (1,5-2 h) follow-up can be booked for the near future.
